Video Clips From Our Tour of The Christmas Lights

I took some short video clips that really show the beauty of the lights. I love how the snow and lights make everything look beautiful. The sound you hear in the video is the four wheel drive of the jeep as the roads were really bad. :)   Some clips are only ten seconds long as we went from house to house and some are longer.

  1. Thank you for the tour!! Since I live way out in the country, not to many houses even bother to decorate,so this was really neat to watch..reminded me of when I was a kid and all the houses were lit up!! xoxoxo

  2. Very pretty. Your little town has so much to offer. So sweet the guys from Rio came over and that you had cookies ready. You and Son sure landed in the best place. Once in Michigan we had 38 inches of snow overnight. Was a week before roads opened. We lived in a trailer park near East Lansing. Every one shared food.

    • Ann, We learned in hurricane territory to always have canned goods stocked up, so we are ok. We keep things like canned ham, canned chicken etc and lots of soup making stuff. Luckily our stove is gas so if power goes out we can still have some heat and cook. We really do love it here. If you take the time to look, which people are usually so busy they don’t…there are so many great things here in this town. hugs

    • Hi, I am originally from Midland with grandparents in the Thumb and near Traverse City. The big snow I mentioned was in early 1967. Also a couple years before that it broke some kind of record with 20 straight days where the high temp of the day was less than 20 BELOW. We decided to move away as soon as possible. I live in southeast Virginia now, near children/grandchildren and enjoy it. But do miss the cool clear Michigan summers. My dog and I spent a month in Michigan last summer visiting people and places. Wonderful trip.
