I just had to share with you all the opening of my reborn doll box. I entered a giveaway and won it. I was so stunned. I had told the woman that if she drew my name to give it to this particular young adult that wanted one so badly and when the drawing occurred, the woman doing the giveaway said that someone was making this young adult a doll. So, I got to keep it. It is so precious. I decided to name him Gabriel…cause he is an angel to me.
I have said that I am eclectic and I have gone from driving a semi to teaching school to writing for a publishing company of five small town newspapers to running a diesel repair shop to waiting on tables to being a secretary to being a mother of two beautiful sons and a grandmother to being a homemaker to being a caretaker of people with cancer to running a BBQ House to loving dolls.
The box just arrived.
in the top of the box. the baby doll has a baby doll toy that is a rattle.
Peeking out of this adorable snowsuit is the reborn baby.
OH goodness, this reborn doll feels just like a newborn.
Look at these little shoes. The clothes are all newborn baby clothes, not doll clothes.
He even has a pacifier. It is magnetic. How cool.
I have never seen a doll look so real before.
Look at those ears. See how tiny his head is with my hand cupping it.
I wish the fingers showed better. You even see the little white nails on the tips. It looks just like a newborn.
Sorry but I just can’t quit hugging him.
There was a snowsuit and a bunch of outfits, little shoes, baby blanket, even bottle.
Typical me when I am joyous. Son says I clap my hands and don’t even know it.
one of the outfits.
Just gotta show that sweet face again.
I can not get over the weight of the doll. Just gotta kiss something this sweet looking.
And of course I had to change and put on a new outfit.
I love dolls and always have. I have had all kinds from rag dolls to ones from other countries but baby dolls are my favorite.
Thank you from my heart to Theresa. You blessed my immensely when I was picked for the giveaway. There are not words enough to say thank you.
Son has already said that he can see that a doll bed is to be forth coming and is drawing out plans for it. Nah..I am not rotten. *giggling*
God is awfully good to son and I and I sure do thank Him and give him the praise for all He has done for us. He takes care of our needs and occasionally, He gives a want. What more could a person ask for. I have trusted Him to take care of us since my boys were little. No, we did not have all we “wanted” but we sure had all we “needed” and that is what is important.
Birthday Wish to Help the Sun Bears
The Bornean Sun Bear Conservatory posted about their fundraiser yesterday. The Fundraiser is going on right now. Check out the prizes they have.
And read all about the Bornean Sun Bear Conservatory here:
Their goal is to rescue these abandoned bears and the ones that were taken for pets and nurse them up until they are big enough to put back into the wild, where they belong.
It is time for the big party and fundraiser to help the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Please go check them out and if you can donate, even if five dollars it will help them reach their goal. These little bears are in danger of becoming extinct and at the rate we are taking their homeland, we will soon lose them all.
Come join them at their facebook as they all just have a really great time while raising money.
And the birthday wish page is here. All he wants for his birthday is to reach the goal to help the bears.
