The Transit Of Venus on Tuesday

A rare event will occur on Tuesday.  The transit of Venus will begin at 5:45 EST and Venus will go between the sun and us. You can not just look at this for fear of hurting your eyes but there is going to be a live webcast of the event for those that do not have the right equipment to watch. The webcast is live and will not show until time for the transit of Venus to occur. Here is the link. You must download something to make the webcast show.

This event only occurs every 100 years or so and will be awesome to see. Several reputable sites are putting up information on how to watch this and what you need to watch the transit of Venus. One is located here:

Just remember you need special sunglasses to watch this, not just your regular ones. There are several methods you can use ranging from watching on the webcast to pinhole projectors to projecting a magnified view with binoculars or telescope to sun cloud funnel for large crowds.
