Women Who Shine
Keepin It Real With Dr. Sherry
Yahoo is sponsoring a contest called “Women Who Shine” and my dear friend Dr. Sherry E. Showalter has been nominated. She has a blog called “Keepin It Real” located here:
http://drses.wordpress.com/
I am asking any of you that will to please vote for her. She is truly one of the most giving people I have ever met in my life and shine she does. Rules are you can only vote one time for a person but you can vote for other people in other categories if you want to. Hope that makes sense. LOL Here is the link to vote:

Please reblog this post if you want to. thanks
And here is her nomination write up:
Sherry E. Showalter is one of those special people who is filled with compassion for all. She spent 25 plus years working in hospice with people who were suffering and losing lives and loved ones. She was the recipient of the National Heart of Hospice Award for Psycho-Social-Spiritual Caregiving by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She also proudly served at the Pentagon along with first responders on 9/11/2001 and says her life has been forever changed by those days, months and years. Sherry gives her all to help others whether it is a stranger, a client, a family member or a friend…she is there for them. She works hard to promote peace and love and compassion on her blogs and Facebook pages and in her speaking tours and to help others realize that sometimes when working, we can lose our compassion because of being exposed to so much hurt and trauma daily through work and the media and life. She tries to help people find their balance again. She has written two books. One is called “Healing Heartaches: Stories of Loss and Life” and the other is called “Chronic Pain: Hand in Hand” and was co-written with John Argent, a full-time caretaker. She is currently working on a book entitled “Down The Hallway: The Rooms Inside Charmaine’s Head” to help others know what living with Dissociative Identity Disorder is like. She cares about people and this world and walks the path of a healer of hearts, minds
