About Me

Today this is about me because I want you all to know what is going on. Most on here know I am very ill and have a lot of health issues. This impacts me from writing every day like I want to.

So, some days I may not get a post up but I am still here. I now have along with all my other health issues, spinal cord problems. My spinal cord is being restricted badly and while surgery is an option, there is doubt I would make it through it and if I did, I would be paralyzed from the waist down.

The pain really impacts me and some days all I can do is lay here like today. So, please don’t give up on me when you do not see a blog post. I am still here, just having to rest and not move.

So, my personal opinion for today is, we have to take care of ourselves first or we can not help anyone else. 🙂

  1. I’ve thought of you even though I haven’t been around blogs much recently (still too much residual anger and tantrums over election)
It is not a luxury, but a necessity to take care of yourself. A lesson often learned much too late – along with “no” being a perfectly acceptable answer to requests HAHA
May the sun warm you and the wind tell you tales to entertain you!

    • thank you so much. Yes, I am being very focused on what I can and can not handle anymore. Why I thought the shorter version of “opinion” might still be in range and I think it is. Might be a few missed days but not weeks. 🙂

  2. You are my inspiration Deb! Lost my dad in January and I’m losing my mom now! She lives with us and she is on hospice. I’m trying to be strong but it is getting harder because I have my own health issues! Be strong and I love you dearly!

    • Oh Rhonda, I am so sorry. I lost both of mine within less than six months apart so I understand. I will be praying for you and your Mom. Just remember to take time for you even if you have to talk family into coming and staying with your Mom so you can just go off and do something you want to do. It is so easy when a caretaker to ignore your own health over the one that is sicker. It is not selfish to take care of you. It is necessary for our own sanity. Love you too Rhonda. Strange how life turns out isn’t it. Just know I care deeply.
